altA pub is getting ready to rumble by hosting one of the biggest brawls Britain has seen for years.
The Leigh Arms in Little Leigh a hosting an American wrestling event on May 19 with some of the biggest names – and bodies – in the business.

There will be 10 wrestling stars, unmissable matches and the specially crafted brew ‘Big Daddy’ beer from Robinsons, which is billed as ‘a pint worth wrestling with.’

The event will raise money for meningitis research in the memory of Jessica Barbet, landlady Jo Higham’s niece, who died just six months after her third birthday.

Jo said: “We’ve achieved so much already. Over the past 5 years, we have already raised £43k towards meningitis research in memory of my niece and we wanted to bring something special to Cheshire to raise even more funds and bring everyone together for a day. A valued member of staff happens to be a qualified wrestling referee which gave us the idea to bring a unique American wrestling event to our pub.”
