The Three Tuns in Sittingbourne picked up the prize in the Choice Chip Awards as Chip Week 2012 got underway yesterday.
The prize is voted for by the public and recognises the best chips served by independent outlets.
Chris Haines, who runs the pub with his wife Carol, said: “I can’t thank our customers enough for voting for us. We make all of our chips fresh from local farm shop potatoes, which keeps us busy but the feedback is worth it – after all, people tell us that they come in just for our chips. We pride ourselves on producing quality, fresh, local food and it really makes me proud to say we’ve got the best pub/restaurant chips in the UK!”
