Brewer Marston’s is launching a range of beers that are all identical apart from one key ingredient – the hops.
Each month a new beer will be released with a different hop to showcase the varieties on offer and the important role they play in the beer.
Each of the beers will be four per cent ABV and contain the same yeast strain and malt.
Hops being used come from across the world and include Wai-iti and Kohatu from New Zealand, which have never been used in the UK before. Others in the range are Galaxy from Australia, Marynka from Poland and East Kent Golding from England.
Marston’s assistant head brewer Simon Yates said: “By using the same basic recipe, with only the hop changing, we will be allowing the unique tastes and qualities of each hop to shine through.
“It will be a very different, but intriguing taste experience that will naturally appeal to people passionate about taste and ingredients.”
