World beers are proving increasingly popular as pub-goers treat themselves to something different. The category has grown 10 per cent on draught and five per cent packaged in the last year – and customers are willing to pay 35p a pint more than they would for a premium lager.
With consumers matching world beers with food and often going for quality over volume, the future looks bright. Carlsberg is doing its bit, as it not only has the number one draught world lager in the freetrade with San Miguel, but also has two more of the top four world beers in its stable with Tuborg and Staropramen.
Maybe these beers could help drive your trade. If you’re not stocking a world beer yet, could it be time to give it a try?
