They plan to move the business, which is based in Cumbria, to Brigend in Wales and create dozens of jobs.
Turbo’s flagship brand is the student inspired Turbo Shandy but the new team plan on expanding the range of drinks.
Company founder Nigel Tarn (pictured), who will remain as part of the team, said: “It’s a great deal for the Turbo Drinks Company and will really put us on the map as a brand to watch in 2012 and beyond."
Entrepreneur Sean Smith and another former Wales star Gareth Williams are also part of the team behind the deal.
Thomas is currently starring in Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.
